This Week’s Curiosity
Breakdown break down. Trying to stay creative writing a little peculiar intro. Sharpen the pencil while sharpening the mind. Writing about what I consume because that makes me, me.
I wonder what' I’d be like if I lived in the woods by myself with only my thoughts. If none of the stuff I write about below was there to influence my mind. I think I would think more clearly. I think what I deem “important” would be much different.
🔍 Found in an Old Note
From Atomic Habits
Interesting framing. Change your habits to change your identity.
I agree with this. In fact I said something like this the other day, before I found this note. I recently gave up sugar, I’ve been 12 days clean, and I had this thought:
“I think it’s a mindset thing. Right now part of your identity is your a person that doesn’t eat sugar. If you have a cookie tomorrow morning you are no longer that person so then the next morning you’d be more likely to go back to the sugar.”
So that’s the same thing said by James Clear, but in reverse. I’m framing it as making the habit part of my identity.
👁️ True Visionary
A true visionary. Talking about Bitcoin banks before Bitcoin had ever established a monetary value.
Now, 13 years later, we have some proposals for bitcoin banking systems. Fedimints being my favorite
I took a strong interest in Fedimints immediately upon learning about them. Why? Because they just sounded like a logical step for getting bitcoin into communities that can’t afford their own UTXOs. These systems can get bitcoin to the world. Communities trade will flow better in underdeveloped nations. In developed parts of the world we can get rid of the fees of the leeching fiat banks and credit companies.
Here’s what I wrote about them when I first started learning:

💭 A Thought of Mine
🧠My Thought: Curiosity leads to simplicity
Curiosity exposes flaws in everything you think you know until you solidify it or abandon it. You just need to follow it far enough. Get to the root of why for as many thoughts and things that you can. You will become simple.
I’m writing something deeper on this.
Of The Week…
What I’m Sipping While I’m Writing
Distric 96: Political Juice - Northeast IPA
Tasting notes: sugar free starburst, green starfruit, tailgate IPA
Rating: 6.9
Meme
Society nowadays. We need to change this. No more rewarding those magic words.
Headphones
The Black Album: Jay Z
One of the best. No skips on this one. Very impressively lyrically. If you’re trying to understand everything you need to rewind a lot.
Some great advice in there to.
“Only God can judge me, so I'm gone / Either love me or leave me alone".
Quote/Tweet
The bookmark that my sister gave me for Christmas
Tao Te Ching was one of my favorite little books. I have it sitting in the drawer of my bed side table and flip through it now and again.
Fitting this quote was on the bookmark, as it’s so timely for me. I have found what I want and I am doing my best to enjoy that.
Glass
I enjoy unique beer glasses. I love them as conversation pieces. I love them for living in the moment. I enjoy making designs. So I’m just putting them here. I guess it’s just sort of as a creative outlet.
What are you curious about? Let me know in the comments, dm, email, text.
I would love to know. I love discussion over this type of shit.
