Sipping☕️ & Thinking💬: Week 3🐇🕳️

Sipping☕️ & Thinking💬: Week 3🐇🕳️

This Week’s Curiosity

Breakdown break down. Trying to stay creative writing a little peculiar intro. Sharpen the pencil while sharpening the mind. Writing about what I consume because that makes me, me.

I wonder what' I’d be like if I lived in the woods by myself with only my thoughts. If none of the stuff I write about below was there to influence my mind. I think I would think more clearly. I think what I deem “important” would be much different.

📄 What Negative Effects Will the Bitcoin ETFs Bring?

Link

I worry about the ETF marketers clouding the minds of the people. Instead of people realizing that Bitcoin is a tool that leads us to a better world by eliminating the need for fiat currency, they will just see it as another asset that goes up in dollar terms.

They will want to acquire and hold it within ETFs, but they will not think of it as money. They will not realize the power they are giving the ETF providers by allowing them to control their bitcoin.

I still think in the end it becomes the only money, but the longer the world waits the more pain is endured.

💰Where the Money Resides

A visual that immediately caught my attention. 50% of the world with a net worth of less than $10k. Sometimes I stress about money, this puts things in perspective.

The next thing that sticks out to me is 1% of people control ~3.5x the capital of the bottom 87% of people. That’s wild. Once these people start realizing everything goes down once priced in Bitcoin capital will flood into Bitcoin.

The thought virus “maybe I should buy a little, just in case” will start to spread. That “little” amount for the top 1% is a large portion of the world’s capital.

💭 A Thought of Mine

🧠My Thought: “Will everyone still be around next Christmas?”

Could be morbid depending on your perspective but I use it as a grounding thought. Appreciate what’s there now because next year may be different. We need to love the people in our life now. The holiday season brings the love out a little bit extra. The love and time together can bring about deep conversations. Let those conversations flow. Appreciate them because they might now happen again. Love the thoughts that your loved ones can bring to you.

Every person for themselves out there. That’s true capitalism. That’s what seems fair to me. For it to be truly fair I think we need a better money.

One where a group of people doesn’t determine the price of it for other people. Capitalism is the way but true capitalism won’t be achieved until a pure money is the base money of society.

Quote/Tweet

In an extreme view, the world can be seen as only connections, nothing else. - Tim Berners-Lee, Weaving the Web (1999)

To be connected people/things/places must be on the same plane. If we were not on the same plane our worlds wouldn’t exist as they do now.

Glass

I enjoy unique beer glasses. I love them as conversation pieces. I love them for living in the moment. I enjoy making designs. So I’m just putting them here. I guess it’s just sort of as a creative outlet.

What are you curious about? Let me know in the comments, dm, email, text.

I would love to know. I love discussion over this type of shit.
