💭Thoughts on Money 💵

Money is not "the root of all evil". Instead money is an essential medium that gives us the ability to store and exchange our time and energy. "Money is time" is a more accurate cliché.

These are beliefs that I have developed, so they should have their own post. Beliefs change the way we perceive the world, making them  important.

Here are my core beliefs about money.

  1. Money is not "the root of all evil". Instead, money is an essential medium that gives us the ability to store and exchange our time and energy at the precise value we choose. "Money is time" is a more accurate cliché.
  2. How we spend our time and energy are the only two inputs that we have complete control over. Money is how we select an exchange rate for our time and energy. Money=time+energy.
  3. If money is manipulated than the value of our time and energy is being changed without our consent. As a result, it changes our decisions on how we spend our time and energy.
  4. The money we use is broken, because it can be manipulated. Any money that can be manipulated will be manipulated. In the current fiat money system, we are letting someone else devalue our time and energy.
  5. In a system that devalues our time and energy money is no longer a way to safely store our time and energy. So we need to spend more time and energy looking for commodities that cannot be manipulated just to store our time and energy.
  6. When most people think about money all they see is 💵, not having thought about what that represents. Learning about what that represents is important. That knowledge helps us to make better decisions with our time and energy.
  7. The world needs a money that cannot be manipulated. A fair money means we can save and exchange our time and energy at the precise value we choose. We can spend more time and energy on productive actions. If we have a fair money than we don't need to think about money.

If you disagree with any point above, let us know which and why! We love new perspectives. We're always trying to learn.
